Approaches:
This book can be used to encourage the children to predict what is going to be the animal the sister has chosen in her head… However there is no way they will get it he he! The children will LOVE playing the game afterwards though! A guessing game at its best! In the book a brother asks simple questions to try to work out which animal his sister is thinking off… there is a twist at the end which I will not spoil now!!

Rationale:
I want to use this book because it appeals to my childish sense of humour and therefore appeals to children's too! It is full of potential as you can use the writing but also the pictures to introduce or reinforce vocabulary and structures.

Outcomes:
The children (and teacher!) will enjoy the pictures which are clear, bright and bold… also drawn by the writer of the story! It will make them want to know what all the animals are and to know how to describe them (or even another one!) in French, orally and in writing, so they can play the game themselves.

Topics or themes:
You can use it when doing the topics of animals, descriptions, places where you may live as well as likes and dislikes.

Grammar:
Adjectives, questions and -er verbs.
