Approaches:
Text includes a number of different present tense AR verb endings.
Kids could read the poem, trying to get the correct rhythm and rhymes, helps practice certain clusters of letters with the 2 and 4th lines of each stanza rhyming.
Could they draw a storyboard of the poem, possibly for older children they could rewrite some aspects of the poem with different verbs and different characters or animals.
Rationale:
AR verb endings are often the first set of endings that kids formally meet in Spanish teaching, often quite grammar heavy, trying to put that topic into a more hands on approach.
