Approaches:
1 View the video clip with the sound off and ask class to observe the imagery and note down, or say, what words the know in German or English that they think might come up in the song, nouns, verbs, adjectives. Use reference skills to translate the words noted in English.
2. Lipsynch the chorus
Class listens to the verse and first chorus and then explores the text of the chorus (in pdf) to check on phonics knowledge
Class listens to verse again and then lipsynchs to the chorus to practise lip and tongue positions.
Alternatively they read it aloud to each other to comment on pronunciation.
3. Edit the text according to the change I have made (screen 2 in pdf)

4. Listen to more of the song to spot which words actually do occur, and any words which are repeated (and so have significance.)
