Approaches:
Make a film:
Parts of the poem are highly structured and open to a mime or dumb show
Younger pupils might shake or nod their head as they hear the lines
il fait non / il fait oui
and create mimes for debout, questionne, fou rire, menaces.
They might also produce graphics on the board or on posters for other elements of the poem.
They could then combine a Recital with performance and illustrations involving a large part of the class. The film could then be reviewed.
In a large class (or between classes) this might be a competition.
