Modernise the tongue twister

The challenge/humour of the text is in its verbal complexity

Begin from the lyrics, revealing each line slowly and asking the class to read it aloud chorally
Once a verse is complete, ask them to read aloud in pairs - first a full line, then a couplet, then the verse

Then offer the big challenge of matching the original.
Play a section of the video clip and ask class to follow the words
Play again and ask class to join in chorally

To stimulate linguistic skills
recognition of sound-spelling links

Challenge in an age-appropriate style
Offering a cultural aspect

Enjoyment of a linguistic challenge not to do with meaning
Appreciation that there are songs written by and for French-speakers!
