Approaches:
This is the story about a little frog who, like many many children, asks a lot of questions... Will it get it into trouble?!
When I use this story, 1st I read it so the children look at the pictures and listen then tell me what it is about; then on second reading we pick out the body parts so they can join in with "por que tienes..."; on third reading we introduce puppets of the different animals and their names, greet them etc and act the story out. On 4th reading you could introduce the verbs - it depends what you want out of the text.
You could then use the flashcards (on the website) to focus on the names of the animals, the adjectives and/or the verbs.

Rationale:
This story is so simple and repetitive yet so rich in grammar that you can exploit it in many different ways.
The illustrations are colourful and clear.
The story is great and ends unexpectedly, which is always a bonus!

Outcomes:
All children will relate to asking a lot of questions, especially "why", so this appeals to them and makes them smile straight away.
They will enjoy joining in with the story and will benefit from seeing specific grammar points but in context.
They could then adapt the story by coming up with different animals, body parts and verbs, as a class or in groups then act them out.
